Logline, Concept & Treatment
1. Logline
An uncovered love affair is being described between a city sinking sindhi speaking tourist and a local gilgiti hotel employee in the Attabad mountains where the language is not as vocal as the quietness, the love, the scenery, and the cultural symbols.
2. Concept
Attabad to Ajrak is a brief poetic movie that addresses the silent emotional relationship between social and cultural divisions. The idea is centered on the philosophy of silence as a presentation tool and the gilgit, glances, and symbolic objects used in the presentation instead of dialogue to depict intimacy. The Ajrak is a cultural and emotional intermediary (symbol), whereas the mountainous setting covers emotional confinement and desire.
3. Treatment
The movie is based on the story of Mehak, a creative tourist come to the Attabad Lake and Adeel, an introvert hotel employee. Their relationship starts in an unobtrusive manner in the hotel lobby and nurtures itself through common areas like markets, lakeside, and perspectives. There is a musical montage of increased intimacy without words. The social boundaries come in when Mehak is restricted to interact with her father which causes separation. The movie leaves their relationship in the air with no conclusions made but with a sense of passion in their final encounter at dawn.
